Open auction site PHP – What software to use?

I am interested in starting an auction site online with features similar to eBay. I need to be able to change every aspect of it as a layout / design. I do not want to display the creative web address or show an association with another site. Basically, I want an auction that appears as if I created it, preferably for a cool unique. So far I have seen www.phpauction.com / xl.php which seems pretty good. If you have any tips on a good program please tell me. I'd build it myself except I'm not too confident in my ability to prevent security vulnerabilities in the code database. Auction site. Will thank you for the wealth of online games that will be quite low, so a MySQL database will be well.
