PSP is the best deal for mp3 player too?

OK, I have a child asking a PSP .. another request for an mp3 player. t read files PSP MP3 can easily ?…. I just connected to the computer (via USB port ..?) And the transfer of mp3 files on the PSP? I 4000 mp3 files on the computer, so I really do not need ipod itunes with the thing. Would the child get the best of both worlds by learning to play games and play music? Also, PSP plays movies too ..?… if so, can you download movies on memory cards and play them, or Did you need to buy the movie disk? Can you transfer information from one PSP to another? Sorry for all the questions on this .. but I'm new the world of technology for my children. advice on this would be great. Looking to get an agreement combo on ebay, but do not want to lose my money. The PSP can do MP3, MP4 (video), Internet / Web and more. You can either use USB to download from the PC / laptop or you can use wifi to connect directly to the Internet.
